Liberty Hoops

Isn't this a super idea?  Purl Soho (in NY) came up with this really clever way of displaying their large collection of Liberty fabric prints for customers.  I think this translates well for the home too!  An easy project to do with the kids or on a quiet Sunday afternoon - also a nice gift idea!  See the how-to here...

A very unsettled and windy day here.  I'm waiting for my camera battery to charge and enjoying a nice cup of coffee.  The sun is trying to peak through the clouds and when it does it is quite strong and brilliant.  
I am struggling to get some work done while trying to entertain Liv.  She can be quite demanding (she's 4!).  I've managed to get some invoicing completed and now just need to do some filing (urgh)...I hope the start to your week has been a good one.  I'm happy to get this paperwork out of the way early on so I can enjoy more creative days ahead!

Inspiration...

I am absolutley taken by this.  The layered carpeting, low level seating, spare walls and lots of pillows!  The colours are saturated and vibrant...

I am sure this beauty of a cake is going to make it's way round the web but I just couldn't pass up the chance to show it to you!!  Also, it's Olivia's birthday in a couple of weeks so I have cake on the brain (well, a little more than I usually do!!) Enjoy!!

The cake design is from Sugarcoat It Studios and the fabric is designed by Jessica Jones who also has the fabulous blog 'How About Orange'.  These talented ladies are very inspirational; and I bet that cake is just too delicious for words...

Morning Inspiration

The perfect spring mix; delicate blooms atop warm wool blankets.  I love the colour combination and am completely inspired!  Not a bad way to start a dreary Wednesday morning...
