As promised, here are the before and after shots of my little dresser unit.
My uncle made this for my grandmother's sewing supplies out of reclaimed wood and old scotch boxes! The drawers don't slide that well and it's slightly wobbily but functions perfectly for my odds and ends (also sewing things) and for holding all of my cords and chargers.
Max and I did this in one afternoon and I'm really happy with the results. We simply removed all of the drawer hardware, sanded everything down and applied 2 coats of paint. I didn't want it to be perfect and so opted out of a primer or a third coat.
We added some new drawer pulls and voila!
I love that there are areas that show a bit of the wood underneath, just hinting at it's former life! What do you think?
